In an exciting week of tournament action, the North Macon Park C-Ball National League Allstars walked through the District 3 Tournament undefeated (5-0) to claim the title. The boys opened with a solid 9-0 victory over Taylor County on Saturday to get the tournament underway. Then, in what turned out to be the most exciting game of the tournament, the National league squeaked out a 5-4 extra inning victory over the American League Allstar team also from North Macon. Down 4-3 in the bottom of the sixth, the National Leaguers rallied to score two in runs to take the victory. The winning run came on a full count, bases loaded single up the middle by Luke Dockery which sent the National League team to advance to play Perry in the winners bracket final. In that game, the North Macon offense outslugged the Perry squad and came away with a 15-12 victory. Crawford County then faced North Macon National in game four and with great pitching and defense the boys from North Macon played their best game of the tournament and hammered their way into the championship game by a score of 11-0. In the finals, it was an all North Macon affair as the American League team battled back to make it an all North Macon final. The National League scored 3 early runs and that turned out to be all they would need as Michael Fitzpatrick would go on to pitch a one hitter and claim the tournament title by a final score of 7-1. Hats off to both North Macon teams as they both represented well over the week. Congratulations boys on a great tournament victory!!

The North Macon Park National T-Ball All Stars are the Dixie Youth District 3 champions. The team displayed good hitting, solid defense, aggressive base running and an overall "never say quit attitude" as they marched through the tournament. They played 6 games in 6 days in Warner Robins to finish the week undefeated. They opened with victories over Jasper County (27-5) and Monroe County (31-10) over the weekend. Sitting 2-0, North Macon went on the beat Jones County (21-20) in dramatic fashion in the last inning and then defeated Perry (24-13) in the last winner's bracket game. Needing two more victories, North Macon went on to beat Jones County again (19-9) with stellar defense. The finals were then set with Perry having to beat North Macon twice. In a well played game, North Macon ended the game with a 28-20 victory and clinched the championship. Congratulations to all the kids, coaches and families on a job well done!

WELCOME TO NORTH MACON PARK!!
We are excited to begin our 2009 season!!! Since the completion of the 2008 season, we've been busy making much needed improvements to the park which will provide our families and children with a safer environment.
All our fields are now in compliance with Dixie Youth and USSSA regulations. Three of our four infields (T-Ball, C-Ball, Minor/Major) went through a major renovation i.e. scraped, leveled, measured and re-sodded.
New for the 2009 season is Wee Ball, designed for 3 and 4 year olds!!! What better way to provide an introduction to Tee ball, learning the basics of positions, hitting off a tee and basic throwing and catching.
The Board Members are continuing to work to make additional improvements to the park.
We are dedicated to making North Macon Park the best in Middle Georgia!!!
